Product-Led Growth: Regulars
Regulars are the bread and butter of your user base. They log in frequently and rely on your product for multiple use cases. Regulars may not always get excited about using your product, but it has become key to achieving their goals. Switching to another solution would be costly because they have already invested time, effort, and data in your product.
Regular users are typically:
- Incorporating your product into their workflows
- Spending more time in your app
- Using your product to complete core parts of their job
- Defaulting to your product as a possible solution when new problems arise
- Exploring deeper layers of your product to see what else your product help them do
To turn customer satisfaction into delight. You want to keep these users healthy and engaged by encouraging them to adopt new features, expand to new use cases, and provide feedback.
The goal here is more than just habitual usage or product adoption—it’s emotional. To move users through the flywheel, you need them to adore your product.

Basic use cases
1. NPS survey
Use Appcues to create an NPS survey to gather quantitative feedback from your users. To get started, simply go to your Appcues dashboard and click on the NPS page. Learn more about how you can set up your NPS survey here.
Additionally, Appcues allows you to target based on NPS scores. You can further leverage Appcues NPS surveys to create segments of detractors, passives, and promoters. This can be highly valuable when you are running feedback or promotional campaigns. For example, you may want your detractors to provide more feedback on how you could improve their experience.
2. Product Feedback survey
Ask users for qualitative feedback. Start by creating a slideout and ask a general question like “how can we improve your overall experience?” Or get more specific by asking about specific options. For example: “Out of 3 features listed below, which one do you think would be most useful?”

Add relevant forms to your slideout so that users can submit their responses without leaving your app.
3. Product release announcements
Create slideouts to announce the major product releases every month. This will give your users the confidence that their feedback is being implemented and they are investing in a product that is continuously improving.

4. Create upsell opportunities
If you have gated features that can only be accessed with premium plans, this can be a great opportunity to highlight the value of these features to your active users.
Create a segment of your power users (folks who have been logging in frequently and/or have completed goals). Then, create a modal and add a video that talks about the value of these advanced features. Add a CTA to upgrade the existing plan at a discounted rate.
Advanced use cases
Create modals or slideouts to celebrate your users’ performance. For example, if you offer a CRM tool, you can use Appcues goals feature to trigger a modal when a user sends their first email campaign. To do this, set “first email campaign” as a goal in Appcues and create a flow targeting users who meet that goal.
If you have a single-page app, you can use Appcues’ event triggering feature to prompt a flow when a user takes a specific action within your product.
