Pro Tip: Event Triggering vs Event Targeting
Event triggering is a feature that allows you to show a flow immediately when an event occurs, like a button click, instead of on a page load. (By default, users will be evaluated for displaying flows on page load.) Event triggering is an Enterprise feature, but events are still useful for everyone to use, especially when using custom events and properties for targeting.
Event triggering and event targeting both allow your messaging to be more responsive to user actions (e.g. uploaded a file, invited a new team member, etc.). Event triggering can be used to show a flow without a page load. Event targeting can and should be used to qualify users to see flows based on their actions (or lack of action) in your application. Learn more about these use cases for each by checking out Targeting Flows and Segments Overview.
