Add an Email to the canvas Email sending window When can users move to the next node? Confirm it worked If emails aren't sending

An Email node sends an email to the user when they reach that point in the Workflow. Before adding one, make sure you've configured your email settings.

Add an Email to the canvas

                    1. Click any + button on the Workflow canvas.
                    2. Under Messages, select Email.
                    3. Give the email a name (optional) and click Create.
                    4. Build the email content in the editor, then return to the Workflow canvas. For a full walkthrough of the email editor, see Building email messages.

                    Email sending window

The sending window controls when the email is allowed to go out. Select the Email node on the canvas to open its settings panel, then look for When can this email be sent?

                    • Default — Uses the sending window and frequency limit configured in your account email settings. If you haven't customized anything there, emails send at all times. This is the recommended option unless you have a reason to override.
                    • At all times — The email sends as soon as the user reaches the node, regardless of time of day or day of week.
                    • At specific times — Restrict delivery to a custom window you define (for example, weekdays between 9 AM and 5 PM in the user's timezone).

Under Advanced, you can also override the account-level email frequency limit for this specific email. This is useful for time-sensitive messages like password resets or expiration warnings that should never be throttled.

When can users move to the next node?

This setting controls what must happen before the user progresses past the Email node in the Workflow. The options:

                    • Sent or skipped — The user moves forward as soon as the email is sent, or immediately if the email was skipped (for example, if the user has unsubscribed).
                    • Delivered — The user moves forward once the email is confirmed delivered.
                    • Opened — The user moves forward once they open the email.
                    • Immediately — The user moves to the next node without waiting for any email action.

For any of the wait-based options (sent, delivered, or opened), you can set a Maximum wait time. If the user hasn't met the condition before the timer expires, they progress to the next node automatically.

                    Confirm it worked

After publishing the Workflow, check Email Performance to verify that emails are being sent and delivered as expected.

                    If emails aren't sending

                    • Confirm your sending domain is verified in email settings.
                    • Check that the user has a valid email address on their profile.
                    • Check that the user hasn't unsubscribed. See Email subscriber management.
                    • Review your sending window — if set to specific times, the email may be queued until the next eligible window.
                    • Check whether the account-level email rate limit is throttling delivery.
