Why integrate RudderStack with Appcues?
RudderStack is a powerful tool that collects your user data and pushes it into other specialized tools so your team and company can make the most of the information you all share. Integrating Rudderstack with Appcues adds your Appcues data into the mix. This integration can also send Appcues data into other tools you've integrated with, like Mixpanel, Heap, and Google Analytics.
Appcues events will automatically be synced to your RudderStack account, then sent off to your other RudderStack integrations.

What you'll need:
- RudderStack account and RudderStack installed on your application
- Appcues installed in your application
- The RudderStack Javascript SDK installed in your application

Setting up the Appcues → RudderStack integration
Setting up the integration is two simple steps:
- Go to your Appcues Integrations page
- Hover over the RudderStack integration, and select Activate.
Data should immediately begin flowing into your RudderStack account
Removing the integration
Once the integration is enabled, you can click the card at any time and select the ‘x’ to remove the integration
The Appcues to RudderStack integration will send certain Appcues event data from Appcues to RudderStack. The Appcues events that can be sent to RudderStack include:
- Completed Flows
- Skipped Flows
- NPS Scores
- NPS Feedback
- Completed Checklists
- Skipped Checklists
- Form Submitted
- Events related to pin experiences, including:
- Experience Started
- Icon Seen
- Pin Button Seen
- Click-to-track events (Only if you are enabled for Appcues Events Broadcaster)
The Appcues events that are going into RudderStack are sent immediately as the events occur.
Installing Appcues via RudderStack
Appcues can also be installed in your application by setting up Appcues as a Destination in your RudderStack account. By doing this setup, you do not have to include Appcues' javascript snippet directly in your app or make any other identification calls to Appcues. RudderStack will manage the installation directly and make sure identify, group, track, and page calls are properly sent to Appcues.
