Your knowledge base is a great resource for customers to find answers to their questions and get general self-service support. With the knowledge base search for Launchpads 2.0 customers can quickly find and access articles from your knowledge base directly in your product.

Enabling Knowledge Base Search on a Launchpad

In the Launchpad where you want to add search, select the Settings option and in the Settings tab under Search toggle on the “Show knowledge base articles in search” option.

When this is enabled the search icon will display in the Launchpad preview. In the Knowledge base provider dropdown select the provider that you want to use for the connection.

If the knowledge base has already been set up the integration will show as connected and you'll be good to go! If the knowledge base is showing as not connected you'll need to set up the integration for that provider.

Setting up a Knowledge Base Integration

A knowledge base integration can be set up for use in Launchpads by going to any Launchpad, going into the Settings. When search is enabled, the knowledge base provider drop-down selection will display.

Select the provider you want, and select Set up integration to configure your setup for that provider.

                  FAQ

Can I have a knowledge base search set up in multiple launchpads?

Yes. Once a knowledge base integration is set up that integration can be added to multiple launchpads.

Can I use the knowledge base integrations with old launchpads?

No. Knowledge base search and the knowledge base integrations are only supported in Launchpads 2.0.

Can I have multiple knowledge base integrations set up in one account?

Currently, only one knowledge base integration is supported for each provider. That means that if you have multiple knowledge bases set up from one provider only one can be set up for each Appcues account that you have.
