Notifications keep you informed of important changes or action required in your product, and deliver those alerts to you outside of Appcues — through Slack or email — so you don't have to be in the app to stay on top of what's happening. You choose which platform events notify you, how you're notified, and how often. You manage them in Settings > Notifications.

The Appcues App is in beta and rolling out gradually. If you don't see it yet at app.appcues.com, it hasn't been enabled for your account. See Introducing the Appcues App for more.

                    Open notification settings

From the account menu at the bottom of the left sidebar, open Settings, then choose Notifications. The page header reads "Choose which events notify you."

                    There are two tabs:

                    • Personal — your own notifications
                    • Account — shared, account-wide notifications (admins only)

If you're not an admin, you can view the Account tab but not change it.

                    Set up your personal notifications

                    On the Personal tab:

                    1. Under Notify me when, open the dropdown and choose an event to be notified about.
                    2. Click Add. The event appears in your list.
                    3. Open the event's ⋯ menu to set the Delivery cadence — Immediate, Daily digest, Weekly digest, or Monthly digest — then click OK.
                    4. Repeat for any other events you want to follow.

Personal notifications are delivered by email only; there's no channel to choose. To route notifications to Slack, use the Account tab below.

                    Account notifications (admins)

On the Account tab, an admin can set up shared notifications for the whole account and route them to Slack, email, or both.

Connect a Slack workspace (to notify Slack channels)

To send account notifications to Slack, connect a workspace first:

                    1. In the Slack workspace panel at the top of the Account tab, click Connect to Slack.
                    2. Invite the Appcues app to any private channels you want it to notify.

Until a workspace is connected, the Slack channel option stays disabled ("Connect a Slack workspace first").

                    Add and configure an event

                    1. Under Notify me when, choose an event and click Add. It appears in the list with a Setup needed badge until you finish configuring it.
                    2. Open the event's ⋯ menu to set:
                      • Channels — Email, Slack, or both. Selecting Email requires an Email address (for example, a shared team inbox like team@yourcompany.com).
                      • Delivery — Immediate, Daily digest, Weekly digest, or Monthly digest.
                    3. Click OK.

                    Mute notifications

                    • To pause a single event, use its mute toggle (the bell icon on the row).
                    • To pause everything at once, turn on Mute all notifications above the list.

To stop receiving an event entirely, remove it from the list with its delete (trash) control.

                    Notes and limits

                    • Slack and email are the delivery channels available today. Additional integrations, such as Microsoft Teams, will be released over time.
                    • The list of events you can subscribe to is managed by Appcues and may grow over time — check the Notify me when dropdown for the current options.
