Step templates allow you to save steps so they can be reused to when creating or updating steps in mobile flows.
Saving a Step Template
Saving a template makes it so you can reuse the content and style of the step when creating new steps.
When you have made a step that you want to use as a template, select the step so the step side panel is displayed, click the three dots in the upper right of the panel and select the Save step as template option
in the modal that displays enter the name that you want to use for the template and click the Create button.
The template is now saved and can be used when creating new steps or to update existing steps!
Using a Step Template
New Step
When there are no steps in a flow the side panel will show the options for the new step, select the Saved tab to view an select from your existing saved templates.
Existing Step
To use a template with an existing step, select the step, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and select the Load template option
select from the templates to update the current step with the content from the template.
If a template is added to a group the group styles will be applied from the step template.
Managing Step Templates
Saved templates can be renamed or deleted by selecting and existing step, clicking the three dots in the upper right hand corner. When the templates are displayed find the desired template and click the three dots to the lower right of the template, and select the rename or delete option.
FAQ
Is dark mode supported with step templates?
Dark mode styles are supported with step templates. If there are dark mode styles on a template they will also be applied to any steps that are created or updated from the template.
How does localization work with step templates?
Only the default language content and styling will be saved when saving a step template.
If a localized flow has new steps added or updated from a template the content will be added with the default content from the template, the localized content can be updated after the step or steps have been added.
